On Saturday, April 10, 2010, more than 300 neighborhood, community and faith based organization leaders and volunteers participated in Mayor Dyer’s annual 2010 Neighborhood & Community Summit held at the Orlando Marriott Downtown. The Summit offered 12 workshops divided into Sessions A and B and concluded with a public safety panel discussion during lunch.

Mayor Buddy Dyer’s 5th Annual Neighborhood and Community Summit was produced by the Office of Communications and Neighborhood Relations (OCNR) and the Office of Community Affairs (CA). During lunch, participants were entertained by Sara Catherine Barnes and Kyle Mattingly of The Orlando Cabaret Festival/Mad Cow Theatre, with selections from It Was A Very Good Year 1950 and 1960.

During lunch, Mayor Dyer facilitated a panel discussion on public safety. The panel consisted of Deputy Chief Paul Rooney, OPD Patrol Services Bureau; Officer Kevlon Kirkpatrick, OPD Crime Prevention Division; and Patti Riva, Neighborhood Watch Area Coordinator for North College Park.
